Sad, though, for the simplest reason of realising that most people around me look at the same cup as half empty. There seems to be an agreement of sorts, like it’s easier to accept that everything is either black or white, I thought - as I was taking the last sip of my coffee.

And that, undoubtedly, was reflected on my face.

- What? Still glad? she said, clocking it again.
